    Repro 42 VKT M39 SOV

Some firearms are just unattainable to most collectors no matter how much you may wish otherwise, and this is one of them. I have always liked the Finnishicon M39 SOV's and M39/M43's, but with less than 200 of the SOV's and 500 of the M43's having ever been produced the odds of ever acquiring one was zip.
Luckily you can still but the parts to make a reproduction SOV so my plans where to build one, that is until this one popped up for sale a couple of weeks ago.

Its a 42 VKT M39 (the correct year for the SOV) with an accumounts base, mount, and scope set up. The setup is pretty nice with the only issue being the turret locations on the Accumount scope being to far back the scope compared to the originals. Since the SOV came with either a PE or PEM scopes, and originals are still reasonable I plan on finding a nice one to put on it and keep the accumounts for another project.

That could be your best shooting weapon Walt! Bring it down to the steel vintage sniper match so we can test drive it at the 600 yard line.
