I was recently out at Griffin & Howe. Was surprised to learn they're still building new sporters on Springfield 1903 actions. Got to examine one in .270 Win (it is also on their website). Drop dead beautiful. Really, one of the nicest works I've seen. But at $18,150 a "bit" out of my price range. The receiver was in the 1,000,000 range (original serial number wasn't touched).
