    Cabelas current batch of 91/30's

Going stir crazy at home so my wife took me to Cabelas over the weekend just to look around. They had a large number of 91/30's for sale at I believe $359.00 or something close to that. I always pick a couple up while I'm there just to look. These were labeled grade 3. First one I picked up I couldn't believe they were selling. I've seen some rough rifles before as many of you know and this ones bolt looked like it was rusted shut. It had deep pitting on the bolt that rivaled my Swedishicon Mauser M38 restoration. And to sell this for over $300.00.....Unbelievable. Buyer beware.

I saw some really nice hex receivers for that price at the Cabela’s in Hazlewood, MO, a couple months ago.
Mosins don’t do a whole lot for me but I thought about it for a minute or two.

I bought six very nice ones, hand picked, from $69-$99. I have no need for another one, especially at those prices in that condition. Bass Pro Shops are starting to make their ownership felt and not in a good way.

For laughs I look at the 03 Springfields on their Gun Library website. They will advertise "an all original" 1903 low number rifle but when you look at the photos it has a scant stock with a late style handguard and an unfluted WWII style rear sight collar. Then they have the huevos to have a ridiculous price of $1500 plus on it-- for a rifle that really is not a collector rifle and is unsafe to shoot! Wow! Salt Flat
