With period correct and Lithgow Star stamped parts which it required; a complete Magazine (Ended up with a transitional mag), complete safety (Dumbell spring), piling swivel & screw, 1916 Wrights Black (Not Blancoed) sling, correct early cocking piece, butt rear swivel & screw, mag cut off & screw.

Admittedly the bayonet & scabbard ate up a large part of the funds as they were each separate purchases but I only paid $100 for the rifle and it cost $300 for just the bits if you factor in the complete lot it was $850 all up.
Crikey Cinders, i imported a 1916 Lithgow No1 MkIIIH from Aussie to NZ a little more than 10 years ago & that cost me $650NZ & that includes costs to get it here!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I'd keep in mind as well, on the other hand, that you might get ripped from a dealer buying a complete rifle and end up spending the same money anyway. If you have the knowledge however you are good.

    Just from experience.

I think the mark after the "sq inch" part of the proof mark is a private viewing mark, possibly could be used to date when the proof was done.
