A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. In the Tampa Bay area of Fla. we were Blessed. High Tides and 20 to 40 mile per hour winds, nothing major, Thank God. Those to the North and West of us were not as Lucky. A friend of mine's family was lucky, a few branches down and no power for several days. In Fla. we share a lot of things, power trucks and tree cutting company trucks were seen on the highways heading North to the problem areas.
God Bless those that were hit bad. While all of the older areas are not up to it yet over the last 10 to 15 years stronger building codes have gone into effect. Some areas of Fla. have to build to 225 mile per hour wind codes, my area is now up to 145 mph. In my house thoughts and Prayers continue for those hit.

The footage we have seen here about it nothing but utter devastation, I hope all are safe but sadly some did lose their lives our condolences to those affected.

We may think we are strong but when mother nature gets on the rampage the best we can do is to run & hide somewhere safe......!

Here in the Mid-Atlantic we got the hind-end of the storm There are trees down and my family was out of power for eighteen hours. There are still people out of power in the area. All of this is a relief to my little family because we have lost two roofs in the last five years to storms.

I've sent messages out to a few members I know that live on the Gulf side.
    Most have replied and ok.
    One.... no word yet.
Has me worried, I'll keep all up to date.

    Yea,
Seen a night time NASA satellite view of before and after the storm showing just how big the area is that's out of power.
IIRC it looked like it even spread to part of Virginia.
Can't seem to find it now..... maybe it was on the news.

Glad their not dealing with heat waves or freezing temps. But man what a mess.
People with only their wet clothes on their backs.
We have donated...... I hope it's spent wisely.

Yep, parts of Virginia haven't been restored yet.
