Question on Colt 1860 2nd Gen screw

Folks, I'm trying to figure out the purpose of a through-screw on the lower rear portion of the frame in a 2nd Generation Colt 1860. Please see attachment. Is this a shoulder stock attachment point? It doesn't look like any shoulder stock attachment point I've seen in photos of 1st gen Navy Colts with shoulder stock. Attachment 96654

    extra screw in revolver frame

Looks like the screw (also on the other side) is for the stock attachment, normally these two screws do not have the same shape as yours in the photo. They should work on the stock attachment.

My reproduction Colt 1861 also had these extra screws for the attachment of the revolver stock, when I converted this revolver to use 38 cartridges, I had to remove these screws.
Photo shows the revolver before the screws were removedAttachment 96742
