My old SLR, which I sold some time ago, is up for sale at a great price. Straight pull, I fitted a Hythe sight to it and comes with all its original wood. It is what it is, agreat piece of Britishicon History and very accurate.

What a bloody shame that it's neutered to single shot. But at least you can still fire it. Here in Canadaicon C1A1/L1A1 and any other FN FAL variants are prohibited. I used to have an Israeli FN FAL (metric) that I loved to shoot but sold it to a collector since I couldn't take it anywhere. Thanks for sharing.

Yep, quite a few here in the UKicon are built up from mix and match kits, as provided by a certain large UK dealer.

Some consider this a legal requirement due the vague nature of the legal mechanism that allows the build.

Others don't see the issue and build rifles from matching parts kits, with a new unported barrel and sufficient modifications to render the rifle manually operated.

I'm fortunate that both my rifles are all matching, Enfield 1962 and Lithgow 1964.
