What commercial scope closely matches the No 32? ( Not one of the Chinese repros)

Hi Guys,

To match my newly acquired No 4T and 32 Mk3 scope ( authenticated by Ian Skennerton himself ), I have also purchased a AIA No4 Mk4 , with matching cheekpiece in 7.62.

I would like to also turn this into a quasi sniper repro, and would like to know what brand/model most closely resembles a No 32? Something made by the major US and Euro manufacturers?

Any help, or a point in the right direction greatly appreciated...

Look around and try to find a Weaver k2.5 (as stated) or K3 with post and crosshair recticule.

The waever k2.5 with post reticle or for an even more authentic look, get the 2.5 with fine cross hair but mount the scope 90degrees counterclockwise so the elevation turret sits on the left. It now acts as you windage on the left side just like on the real no32s.

coincidentally, just this morning I was playing around with a mount and Weaver K-3 with post and hair reticle trying to prepare it for an Enfield I have with the pads already mounted. As far as the mount goes, I bought it many years ago and think it is a repro. the mount does have a British broad arrow and a five digit serial number on the side. I tried to put the K-3 scope in it and one of the turrets does not clear the mount in the front no matter which way I place it in there. It is only about a thirty second of an inch too much but simply won't fit. I actually have two of these exact same scopes and nether one fits in the mount.

So, in my experience (with this possible repro mount) the K-3 scopes do not fit in the mount. Its actually too bad because I think these Weaver K-3s with the post and hair reticle look about as close to a no 32 as you can get.

Only issue I can see with mounting a scope as post #6 suggests to have the windage turret as elevation turret you normally find that a windage turret does not have the same amount of MOA as the Elevation turret so that's fine if you want to shoot in the stiff breezes found on the Tundra but you may find yourself wanting for elevation at the longer ranges.
Guess there is Kentucky elevation just like Kentucky windage I suppose.
