i got a trigger housing group from numrich

wra housing and trigger guard..sa hammer...not sure about the rest of it.
..
it was pretty dry with some rust. i dissasembled it and applied cold blue to the big parts(housing, saftey and trigger guard). they look much better now... the other parts seem to be okay with a little steel wool and oil.

just wanted to know if bluing is 'proper'.

Goo, ya didn't hear me say this, but I've done that in the past and it does look OK but as far as proper........well, hmm..

Phosphating (Parkerizing) is "proper." Personally I wouldn't worry about that part very much.

much better than cold blue, it gives a nice "parkerized" appearance to the metal. I prefer the cream style as I think it is easier to blend.
