    Finn M91 markings

Have the opportunity to buy this Finnishicon M91..it has some markings that don't look exactly familiar. We have a kind of cockeyed '1916', above that on the receiver is a 'potted plant' (don't know how else to describe it, def not a 'PTG' eagle) then an 'SO' above that on the barrel.
    Worth looking into?

Got some more pics..I see now that's an Imperial eagle, and the barrel is marked '50'...other than the 'SA', that's the only marking on the barrel.

Anzac: That's pretty unusual. Just off the top of my head the only Finn I recall seeing with a scrubbed barrel shank was a P26 (one of the relined barrels). Is there anything else distinctive about it?

Blued bolt seems to have been a Germanicon thing as was the three pips. Potted plant was the Imperial Eagle ground out by the Reds.

I could be very wrong and usually am.

MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.

My guess is that it was done here. The only legit blued bolt rifles I have ever seen in Finnishicon service were those that the Germans sent over in 1944 for parts. As for the rifle itself, its a mystery. Its not a P-Series unless it says P-25, P-26, or P-27 on the barrel. A lot of people like to say that rifles like this are unmarked P-25's, having seen a few P-25's in person, I can assure you they actually say P-25.

    Congratulations on the find.

I have definitely seen one unmarked (scrubbed) P-type rifle. Best confirmation is, of course, seeing the relining tube at the muzzle. Anzac- maybe post a few more photos including markings below wood.
