    EAL that doesnt fit

just picked this one up, I have no background on where it came from past the fella I got it from. it fits the EAL type C perfectly..... except for markings.there are no other markings on the rifle other than the ones I have shown. rifle is as new, almost unfired id say. all parts are marked CA in the circle. 0 bolthead. serial number 6565, and the bolt is stamped the same way that longbranch did the #4 rifles 6565 with a CA beside it
I know the experts tell us that the EAL built these themselves, but id say this one was built at CAL CAL / EAL

It's kind of like Stencollector told you over on the other forum, and quoted Warren Wheatfield... I think this one is about flat new and perfect. The more we strike in stone that things are this way or that, next thing we have evidence that they vary a bit.

"Canadianicon Defence Commodities 1967" in the Canadian Arsenals section shows a photo of an EAL sporter civilian model made by CAL Small Arms Division.
