We get the odd prankster (not really a prank) in the US that seem to make up any story to elevate their wares to the status of Lordship with corresponding prices. I feel sorry for the poor Sod that buys into both the story and the pricing.

Btw, Peter, I will have to look up the comments you have made on short barrels...I have this old gun you see, fella told me it had been used in the Borneo troubles.....

Actually, just kidding about the Borneo story. This one the seller knew nothing about (pawn shop purchase), but it appeared to be a reasonable amalgamation of Inch and Metric components. I have always liked the Inch ergonomics, but the shorter barrel and folding stock are what I consider Metric features. The stock in fact looks like an R5 stock. It was the type with a rubber butt pad, which is missing. I have since ordered a new R5 folder that does not feature the add on rubber butt pad. Those things (the rubber butt pad) are like Hens Teeth in the US.

Always like the little short barreled folding stock FNs. Looked like something I wanted to carry. It would have shot and served as well as a longer one I'm certain... The Sterling's fine too, I used them lots.

When I picked up the 8mm Lebel the other day, the dealer was saying there wasn't much change after the new specs come in but he said it had slowed down a lot now and the deac pistol side also as they are not aesthetically pleasing to the eye as the old specs.
There is a Webley Semi auto on the same site as the L1 you point out, well over priced, I've an eye on a few live ones at present all ok for Sec 7.1 and a lot cheaper than any deac.
