Which Milsurp clothing goes well with casual wear?

I'm new to the world of military surplus collecting. My first item is a Polish overcoat that I plan to use for winter! I'm interested in collecting stuff from Swedenicon, Switzerlandicon, and from countries that no longer exist like E.Germanyicon, Yugoslaviaicon, or Czechoslovakiaicon.

I want to expand on this to something lighter, like a tunic or a field jacket.
I was wondering, in general, what items are considered acceptable for everyday casual use with out looking too much like I'm stealing valor, or resembling a renenactment cast?

I read elsewhere that some of the WW2/early Cold War era wool tunics (like those from Switzerland, Sweden, or Finlandicon) looks classy enough to be used casually. But a friend told me to be careful as it might be mistaken as Nazi uniforms due to it being grey.
I also heard that M65s are also more acceptable for field jackets as its less boxy.

I wanna hear the experiences of long time collectors here.

US Field Jackets look great for casual wear with old jeans, the plain Olive Green looks best (No Camoflage) camo looks goofy in my opinion, unless your a kid / teen ager

for a adult or mature person stick with standard OG / olive drab green

WW2 style like the M43 or the Korean War M51 are also nice looking, the Vietnam style M65 is the most common

they make nice reproductions of the WW2 M43 style often used by reenactors, but will also look good for casual wear

There is a huge difference between a Nazi uniform and Germanicon military. Nazi was the political party actually.

German military - army, air force, navy, and then some of the branches wore different colour uniform, eg tank wore black. If somebody questions what you are wearing being Nazi, question their knowledge about WWII uniforms and what uniforms the political party wore. Then ignore them.

Do some research and you will be surprised at what you find.
