A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Great Score .........
Every time I get a lead on a 2 mil UEF I get all worked up in hopes of grabbing a T, B or S code. For some reason .... Just my luck I guess even when buying sight unseen I end up with a W code.
I have 4 of them, none that compare to the S you have. I consider it a Rare find.

Again Thx for sharing it with us

P.S. When you get Bored with that Ole thing let me know

Charlie, If you're still on that "roll" I've got an Underwood question for you: I have a 2.79M with an 11-43 barrel. Is that reasonable? It has the same front sight as the OP's, but the sight pin staking looks questionable.

brick26: Could you post a picture of your front band - from the top? I'd like to compare it to mine. Thanks, you guys! - Bob

Would be a Underwood made receiver.
My notes show Underwood built 2,7000,00 - 2,912,519 started mid July of 43 to Mid March 44.

Thx for reply to my Email
