Current value for No.42 scope ?

What is the current value of a No. 42 scope ,at current market dollars ? It has a single vertical wire graticule . I purchased it today off of E-bay for $75.00 . I read , some were, that Peter Laidlericon said they were very cheap . Did I over pay for it ?

Thank you both for the information . Looks like $75.00 U.S. dollars is not over the top for one here in the States .

It would be regarded as cheap this side of the Atlantic (assuming the lenses are ok). I've just bought a similar No53 on the UKicon site of 'that online auction site' for slightly more than you paid.

Got the scope in the mail today and the lens are as new , the view through the scope is perfect . All of the screws are not damaged and back out very easily . Is that normal ? The screws on my No.32 mk. 2 and mk.3 scopes will not turn at all ?

It's probably just spent most of its service life in a warehouse in storage. Oddly enough, my No53 has just arrived in the post. Hopefully it will satisfy a needy ex-Indian No32 Mk3......
