Were the Nagant pistols issued to the Brazilianicon Army? I have read about Brazilian Army personnel attached to Frenchicon units toward the end of the war acquitting themselves well in battle. New model to me. Thanks. Tom

Tom, From what I've read they were issued to the Navy, but some say the Army too ?? There was another identical pistol produced by Simpson in Germanyicon for Argentinaicon in .440 (Argentine) Nagant.
The cartridge was a tad longer than the Brazilian one and had a different bullet, although different name and a slight difference on the rim, the .440 case was the same as the S&W American.......
