    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     Be careful if you pursue your aim of getting a No.5 MkI bayonet with the single screw. I believe they are much rarer than the 2 screw MkII and thus sought after and expensive. Check out advice on Old Smithy;
    Bayonet Collection Presentation
    Easy to fake a MkI using a MkII, just change the wood.
    Good luck!

    No5Mk2 with 2 screws is what I am looking for, the single screw handles are too scarce and expensive... I found a couple in U.K., but I'm not sure if it's legal to ship to U.S. residence. And shipping is about 100.00..

    This is the wrong forum to post this though. The correct forum is at the very top of the start page.
