    Ariel m3 ?

Some time ago I picked up a knife that has a blade configured just as a normal hunting knife would be. It is thinner than the typical m3 blade. The grip is made of leather washers, all the same size so there are no grooves in the grip. One side of the front of the grip (oh what is that?) Is turned down in the m3 manner. The knife is grip marked US M3 ACC. Seen any m3 s with a hunting type blade? No evidence of grinding. Early war? Post War? Lunchbox parts? Thanks for your opinion.

Will try after a weekend trip Jeff. Have had trouble reducing pics in the past.

So, I finally found an email containing his pics of the M3...

Would like to have seen the butt to see what remains of the sunburst, there's only one pin I think and the crossguard is up side down. The front false edge has been ground in and the handle has been made from leather washers, I'm doing an Mk1 Navy knife right now. Looks like this one was made from parts by someone. Polishing out grind marks isn't too hard...
    Regards, Jim
