When was my FN Deluxe made?

In 2013 Patrick Chadwick helped me decipher some proof marks on a commercial FN Mauser. I'm hoping either he or some other Forum member can help me out again.

I recently purchased an FN Deluxe, serial number 1049X. I looked over his earlier advice on how to determine the manufacture year and I've run into a problem: Instead of a Greek letter in the cartouche there is a 5 pointed star. I know these guns were made between 1949 and 1963, and I assume a serial number just over 10000 would be fairly early in the production run, but I'd like to nail down the production year for sure. Here is a picture of the marks on the left side of the barrel and receiver. The serial number is on the other (right) side.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Remove it from the stock and look for more markings on the bottom of the action. In this case the proofmarkings you posted will not help.
