    Water Protection Police Nazi Dagger

This beautiful and highly sought after dagger is the Water Protection Police Dagger. It was produced for use starting in 1938 for officers and administrative officials of the (Wasserschutzpolici) water protection police and was the only dagger authorized by the Nazi police forces. The wood grip is covered in dark blue leather wrapped in golden wire. On a small number of the daggers, the gold police badge emblem is attached to the hilt. This is one of those rarer versions. The length of the dagger is 14.2 inches with engraving on the blade. The attached portepee is gold with blue thread interwoven. The dagger was made by the Eckhorn metal works in Soligen, Germanyicon. This is the only Nazi dagger to use a button on the crossguard to release the dagger from the scabbard. dkharalson@hotmail with questions. Price is $5400 which includes shipping.
