Enfield #32 Scope Ring Screws?

I'm looking for a couple of screws for the scope rings on an #32 Enfield sniper scope. Wondering whether there is a source for these screws, which are a unique shape. They appear to be approximately M3.5 and are about 17 mm long. Here is a photo of one:

You might try and contact Scott Stonehill at Evans Custom Screws. I bought four cradle screws some time back, and they were perfect.

I addition to the cradle screws for the No4(T), I also purchased a set for a long-lee and I couldn't be happier.

If you don't have any luck with smleaddict's lead, you could try Fultons of Bisley here in the UK. They used to sell sets of faithful reproductions. Not sure if they still have them, but worth an ask. The screws are threaded 4BA, by the way.

They are of the type known as filister head.

Filister head........... Mmmmmmm, not according to the engineering bent stuck deep in my memory banks and a reminder from my (old Uni so a bit out of date ready-reckoner) Machineries Handbook. They were always referred to as taperlock head. Old fashioned even before the war and superseded by other things - such as torque wrenches! It was impossible to tighten up these screws once a certain torque/load figure had been reached as the taper would lock-up solid. Good to prevent crushing tubes etc. All a bit academic but I seem to think that they were a morse taper - same as locked up your lathe chucks etc

Enfield has used taper lock head screws since the P53 in the Baddeley style barrel bands. They can be a bas*tard to get out if they are in tight.

I contacted Scott at Evans Custom Screws, and he said he did make these screws. I'm having him make up a batch for me. I'll post up some photos once I get them. Really appreciate all the replies. Special thanks to smle addict for the lead to Evans Custom Screws. I don't know how we would every maintain these older firearms without guys sharing their knowledge.

Just for the forum Peter and you have probably answered this question 3 zillion times before but I am keen to learn new stuff but as they were a tapered body and you say they were designed to lock up at a certain torque @ what torque should be applied to those screws in mounting the No.32 scope to the bracket.
I wish ring manufacturers would use these to stop people crushing scope tubes by making sure the scope will not move by putting Gorilla arms into those tiny screws.....? TIA
