Wow... Unertl scopes are in demand, it seems.

Very rare Unertl 8X U.S.iconM.C. Sniper Scope and mounts. Believe these where used on the 1903 Springfield Rifles. Scope is Marked J.UNERTL USMC-SNIPER. Serial number is 26XX. The scope is 23 1/2 inches long and is in excellent condition with very little wear. Also has the screw in covers on both ends. The optics are clean and clear, the picture shows the fine crosshairs with a dot in the middle. This is an excellent scope!
Currently at 3,750.00, 3 days left in auction too...!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I just sold the correct 1920's vintage 1903 Springfield N.M. sniper set up with the right bases and everything (but the scope) at the Allentown PA. gun show for a friend of mine. He got $5,500.00 U.S.. I wonder what the gun would have been worth with that scope on it. I also wonder if the guy that bought that gun is watching that auction.-SDH
