    New year, New rifle...

    Morning all,

So, a K98icon is on the shopping list for this year, not that keen on a Russianicon capture or Norwegianicon .30-06 rebuild...

Not really concerned regarding build date, early walnut and later Laminate both have their plus points for me as a collector and shooter.

Any particular manufactures to avoid or hints regarding purchasing guys?

Consider those in way out places, like Siam, Persia, Turkeyicon, Mukden. Fewer made calibres, 7x57, 7x53, possibly 6,5mm.

South American Mausers are a beautiful niche. Problem is they are like pringles chips.

Thanks for the input so far guys...

I'm focusing on WW2 German issue K98icon's, with a possible fall back on German WW1 issue G98's.

The G98 is awesome! I have one from Oberndorf, 1918. Only Imperial markings. Not matching, not completely at least, but most are not at all. It's normal that they are mixed up.
Once you change the front sight with a higher one, you can really have fun with the girl!
Also the K98icon is great. I shot mine (Yugoicon war booty) last week Friday. Fun!
