    True. That's what I did.

Always interesting and actually quite a sellable item. Careful who you sell to but you'll never be left holding your investment if you don't want it.

My concern with Facebook is who is mining the information about what you have. There has just been too much lately about sale of personal information, and people can track who you are and where you live by other posts if you post on your own page, or are linked with family who do, etc.

Thanks John, Good to talk today and as I said in our conversation I had quite a lot up for sale as I was skint at the time, but when I look at the pics I'm thankful that no one wanted them...... well some did but silly offers etc.

Even the Hiscock Parker magazine I had for sale, I had no takers....... luckily I got by, by the skin of the teeth, all OK now as I went back full time and got rid of a property in the Holy Ground (Anfield)......even that was touch and go, as I got a very good offer well over the normal price but it dragged on and on, got to a point that I thought they may back out and with Brexit round the corner I doubt I would get the same money ......... thats if we ever leave.......... lets just hope Teresa grows a set and tells them like it is, "You all needed us in 1939" except a few of course !!!! even then He was wanting something of an EU except he went in bit heavy handed, flag was a bit different too.

Good point Geoff, they aren't keen on us leaving the Fourth Reich ...They were very keen indeed on us joining the Third Reich...

And ... that angry little man, ruined that mustache for everyone...

On a wider note, it's widely accepted today that bombs and bullets is not the way to go to build an empire, that flawed model has failed over and over again.

Bringing over countries into your socioeconomic orbit is far more effective, using soft power, investment goes hand in hand with political influence.

Look at China's growing dominance in Africa for a good example of this...

    Sorry Doug, back to bayonets...

I'll get my small collection photographed this week.

    Just Arrived Today.

These 2 items arrived today and they were purchased because they were both reasonably priced and interesting (to me). They are what is believed to be a Finnishicon M1935 Mosin Nagant bayonet, by Hackman, sadly missing it's scabbard, and a WW2 era Germanicon Fireman's "dress" bayonet by Eickhorn. I would describe both bayonets as being in good condition considering their age.

I find myself drawn to all things Swiss for that reason.
