I believe some of the 7,92x33 was loaded by East Germanyicon during the iron curtain years, doubt much of the German WW2 ammo is still reliable

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Yep, 7.92 Kurz ammo continued to be made in GDR up to 1961.

Pressumably ammo made in Yugoslaviaicon as well, as the MP44 was retained in use by one of the Yugoslavian Para units right up in the early 1980's.....as seen here.

I think a lot of the guns and ammo that ended up in Syria in the late 80's early 90's was the cache of guns and ammo stocks from Yugoslavia after they finally retired them from service??

Who would have thought it would still be in service half a century later?

More to do with the basics and very few working parts I would say, certainly the building blocks for H&K. Although purely coincidence have been looking for info regarding the 7.92x33 Kurz,, see the thread in the reloading part of the forum.

Apologies.......couldn't resist putting this up as Egyptian Paras fail to exit the aircraft cleanly and with a bit of reluctance too in many cases
