    The type 38 (or better yet a type 30) would be excellent to add to a collection. Type 99s are nice but like others have stated, they go from excellent to crude. There are various incarnations of the type 99 and as the war progressed they simplified manufacturing and removed features. The type 38's did not suffer from the simplification process and maintained high standards and quality.
