    Let's try again!

    It worked!

I think the rifle is a great piece as a shooter (at least potentially), now let's see if it is missing something for being also a collectible.

Me too...but my son asked me to be the first to shoot it. And tomorrow he’s dating a girl (good Lord, I’m happy, but why tomorrow, of all days!!!). I’ll have to keep my discipline

It's a really nice looking rifle. What your son doesn't know won't hurt him. Just make sure you clean it after you shoot it and before he sees it. My fingers would be itching to get at that.

I have a question: on apexgunparts I found the P14 rear sight, but only that. They have the complete rear sight set for the P17, which means leaf spring, bolt and screw also.
Would these parts fit a P14?
Now I'm in Poland for business, but as soon as I'll be back I'll check, because I think the bolt and screw are indeed still on the rifle. But the leaf spring most probably not.
    So, if it would fit...
Another option I have is to buy all parts in Germanyicon from a nice site specialised in Enfields and get the sight proper, which they don't have, from apex.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The leaf spring, cross screws and nut are all interchangeable. The smaller M1917 sight will fit the Pattern 1914 rifle, but not be the correct height when the sight is elevated. I should have a Winchester P14 sight in my parts drawers if you want it. Yours for the price of shipping.
