A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. forming 7,92x33 mm

My local gun shop had these RCBS dies on their shelf for years, someone had ordered them but never came back. I bought them at a reduced price. Always easy to sell the reformed 7,92x33 at gun shows. You can use Lake City 7,62x51mm blanks or just 7,62 NATO. More original to use commercial 8 mm Mauser brass. Very easy cartridge to make.

Last years on another forum, someone built-up an AR-15 in 7,92 Kurz, special order barrel and chamber reamers plus headspace gages, used a 308 cal bolt head. While it appeared to be very accurate he never could get a correct magazine to work with more than five or six rounds !Attachment 98574

I have a handful of this caliber reformed from USGI 30-06 and about an equal amount of original ammo.
Doesn’t look like it’s worth a hole lot and I’m cleaning out right now.
How about one of you guys that’s shooting this send me a PM for it. Pay for shipping and it’s yours.

Not quite. I simply lubed as per FLR and sized. It left the long neck, and then I went to the trim die in the press. I cut extra off and reamed while it was supported by the trim die. Filed the case mouth clean and hand chamfered. Then loaded them. 600 times...
    Regards, Jim

Many years ago, when perusing the collection of a Germanicon acquaintance I noticed a scruffy looking Kar98 in the corner of his gun cabinet which intrigued me. It was a Volksgewehr chambered in 8x33mm. In books I've looked at, I only ever seem to be able to find reference to semi-auto Volksgewhre in that calibre; all the bolt action ones are in 8x57.
Anybody else ever seen a Kar98 in 8x33?
