A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I sleep with one eye open like a cat keeping an eye on what's going on around him.

The serial number is close to 220,000. I believe that is the original stock. The barrel band and stock scar are a match. When I said it came out of a closet I was saying that it was in the case and set aside for years, until the owner passed and the estate decided to sell his guns. All of the guns had that look like they had not been handled or cleaned in some time. I do have his widows contact number and was told that she knows quite a bit about his guns. I plan on contacting her to see if she has any info on the carbine.

I have to admit when I saw the title I wasn't sure what to expect. I was glad it wasn't something that would have caused me to say my eyes...my eyes!

Yea you read that right. I'm not above pimping if it saves me a couple hundred over the coarse of a long day.
Plus comes in handy when having to carry everything to the truck !!
That post is a classic, Charlie! I had to print it out and take to the wife to read. She's glued to Facebook this morning regarding the weather. Today's forecast is for 2" to 2' for our area. Someone local posted getting 5" in the past hour. I don't know if a County Plow will even bother with our (dead end) road. Frank, I like the new Inland! Our club's, last show had 8 carbines. Prices were from $825 to $2800. The last big Portland show I attended had zero G.I. carbines and it was $20 just to park and get in the door! - Bob
