    Acquired 1945 BSA No4MK1

On the way to me is a '45 BSA No4 MK1. Pics show "M47C" over "1945" on the wrist. Body is marked in electro pencil "No4Mk1(F) FTR/48" over "V331xx". Forend and bolt are also stamped with s/n on body. Has 5 groove barrel & wood looks good externally in pics. So a 1945 BSA Shirley rifle run through FTR at Faz in 1948. Will post pics when it arrives. Does the s/n seem ok for this BSA No4?

FYI for those interested if it shoots as is or can be made to shoot (good chance) it is up for conversion to repro No4T since the No32 telescope has arrived.

A V prefix serial is fine for 1945 - at the turn of 1944 to 1945 they were in the P/R serial range. I've seen both P & R serialled rifles with both 44 & 45 dates.
