    Semi Auto Bren section?

Senior Staff and Moderators, should we start a Semi-Auto Bren section? There is a significant difference between the two and more of us in the States lurk around and ask our questions many times because it relates to the semi auto Brens. Sure there is plenty of overlap, but sometimes there isn't.

    What do ye say?

I’d love a semi-auto Bren section. Might even help me to get mine working! 🤣

It seems like a natural. Many of the people who are the experts here know the full auto Bren within the Commonwealth and beyond. They don’t necessarily know the American semi auto design. I am unsure if any other country allows for or builds a semi auto Bren. I do believe there was an allowed straight pull single shot in the UKicon for a bit, but unclear how many and if they are still allowed?

I do understand that “Milsurps” started out as a straight up gathering of people interested in military surplus, NOT modern arms. But with so many world class firearms being reconstituted into semi autos for the US market, there is a section on here of people that lean in that direction.

Milsurps and Weaponsguild are good sites for trouble shooting tips. Hope we can help you resolve your problem.

You're right there AmEng...... I know a little bit about Brens but know absolutely nothing abo0ut the US Semi-Auto rebuilds

The TROUBLE, as I see it is that there are probably about 3 or 4 different US variations. So will the new section have 4 sub-sections...........? It will have to because I can already see cross-confusion when things are written up.

C'mon Pete, don't weaken, we all know a full Auto Bren with Gas problems is really semi auto.

Is there any way to tag the already posted stuff and have it moved to the new forum?
