No. 5 MK I, with Both ROF (F) and BSA parts:

The lower forestock and receiver have ROF (F), SN C9367 on wood and left wrist band with FMP initals below. The bolt, magazine, and rear sight have non matching BSA, serial numbers with AH prefixes. The buttstock has an F32 imprint with A 3 44 printed on the left side.

When were BSA parts substituted for the origional ROF (F) parts?
    What does FMP mean ?
    What does A 3 44 mean ?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. "...BSA parts..." Likely came out of a parts bin when the thing was in the shop. Weapons techs, at any time, place or Army cared who made the parts.
Apparently, letter prefixes started when S/N's got to 4 digits. I'm guessing the AH might be a slightly worn AB.
    Probably best to go here.

Armourers like me didn't care what sort of manufacturers parts they replaced on weapons. It came in broke and went out fixed

FMP = Federation of Malaya Police. A para military police. Fixed hundreds of their rifles too!
