    Nice work on the clean up. Not over-cleaned as so many are.

    As has been said already, you're a prime candidate for a splice under the band - if you can find a suitable barrel.

    Enjoy it as is, and keep looking, particularly on eBay.

    Thank you. Would you happen to know of anyone who has a bayonet lug band? I've seen some repros on here, but no one has posted one in a while. I'm also wondering if anyone knows the distance from the end of the barrel to the bayonet lug.

    The distance from the muzzle to the front of the upper band is 3.33" on a Mk II 5*. In am quite certain yours would be the same.
    altadiver on this forum makes reproduction upper bands and other parts. A search should take you to one of his posts.
