    Auction Gambling - Mystery Game!

I suppose I'm giving a bit of a clue by posting in this forum but here's just a bit of forum fun for us. Items should be in next week sometime.

Can anyone see what I think I found here?

I think I see at least part of a M1899 carbine hand guard.

    Bingo!

That's what I'm hoping for as well. The other bits are worth some money if I can identify them, of course. But if that's a handguard in good shape, I did well.
We'll known once it gets here!

Part...I only see half. Like, the left side. Hope it's just optics and the rest is complete.

Well, it's all there...just in pieces. Oh well. Still worth some money to someone that wants a project!

I've attached some pictures of some other neat goodies from the same auction. I think the piston nut is really cool! Anyone ever seen one packaged like this? It was hard to get a clear picture of but it's a Quality Hardware.

I should end up doing pretty well on everything. I got a lot of scope mounts and sights and a few other military things. A good auction, for sure!

Too bad about the handguard though, someone will still take it and glue it or microbed or some such... Yes, neat piston nut. A few other military things?

Happy to share! This isn't all from the same auction but I've picked this stuff up here and there over the last week or so.

Some nice stuff, some needs a bit of help. I know that's all part of it. I have one of those Mk2s with a fiber scabbard too...

I was intrigued by the VP marking. Do you happen to know what that means in this context?

In the St. Louis area, VP means "Veiled Prophet." I see lots of souvenir stuff from that..which I suppose is why it jumped out at me.
