I gave up all hope of getting one of the CMPicon guns, after I received my random number of nearly 19,000. Then I found this one on Empire Arms for a price very competitive with CMP, rolled the dice, and got this. All correct: frame, barrel (High Standard), slide, and grips (Keyes Fiber). How much is original, no way of telling. My gunsmith declared it a solid piece, safe to shoot, but should I? Is it really 'collectible'? Anyway, I'm happy with it, and still considering taking it to the range for a few rounds.
