Yep, I don't feel inclined to wear a swastika or other nazi emblem myself but equally I'm not going to have a coronary if I see one elsewhere.

My step mother hated that show. Said something to the effect that the Nazi's weren't funny, shouldn't be glorified on a show, etc. It was one of my favorites as a kid, I still enjoy it today. She seemed to miss the point that they were being made fun of and always lost. Not dissimilar to propaganda during the war.

    Bingo.
Werner Klemperer (Klink) served as an MP and toured combat areas as an actor during WW2.
John Banner (Schultz) was a supply sergeant and purportedly lost family to the holocaust.
Robert Clary (LeBeau) was actually IN Auschwitz.
It was a prime-time outlet to make Nazis look bumbling and idiotic. I'd have taken it too!

We had "Allo Allo" but I'm not sure if it was ever broadcast in the states, a take off of a Frenchicon resistance group.

I am on my 4th or 5th paypal account,

one time they locked us up because we had the PayPal logo on our website , and we sell firearms,

thing is, they asked us to put the logo on the website (that sight also had some accessories and mostly Signed Aviation Art)

last time the locked us up, we did not get a reason, just locked, (hope to get funds in a couple of months)
that account was used for maybe 10 purchases, (one a book, the rest postage when the post office online CC processor was down)
and only used for Ebay stuff sold,

so off to the bank, get a small savings account, set up a gmail email, and link it back to my ebay acct,,

Ebay was a pain while I was out of a paypal acct, since they had shut down the other CC processor payment they had set up , so it was mail it only, or call me and pay over the phone,

surprising how many folks wanted to pay with paypal and did not want to use a CC over the phone,,,

ebay's contract with paypal is up in a year or so, and they have decided not to use them anylonger

After that, I went through my model kits and found that all the newer Germanicon ones were missing the swastika decals. Older ones still had them. Rather amazing how important it is to some people to hide history.
While watching the last scene in Platoon recently I noticed what appeared to be a Nazi flag on the antenna of the tank or APC rolling up on the napalmed firebase. Wonder if Oliver was doing a bit of subtle history bending there?

That type of stuff wasn't unheard of, even into the 2000s. The internet is the main reason it has become much less common as photos travel a lot farther.

Canadaicon also had some major issues with that mainly in regards to the Airborne Regiment in the 90s and earlier.

Perhaps. The rest of the movie sure did.

    A bit of an update.

A couple weeks ago, after looking over my inventory, I said, "Oh hell, why not" and created another PayPal account.

2 weeks and $2,400 in sales later...they found me and banned me again. Clever folks they have over there at PayPal.

But I've purged some inventory and put some cash back in my pocket. I'll count this one as a win.

Oh...and this time I didn't leave any money in my account after it became available
