    Nice 1918 made North American Arms Company Limited Colt Model 1911

    A friend of mine picked this nice and excellent condition one up recently and I thought I would let people here who have never heard of or seen one, to see what they look like.

    Only 100 were made before the US government cancelled the contract with the end of WW1.

    Most that frequent here are familiar, some have never seen on up close though. I saw one in the museum at the Citadel in Quebec City in '96 I think it was. I don't personally know anyone that has one though. Yours didn't travel far in 101 years... Yours is in pretty nice shape, I've seen them displayed in everything from as new to just about done in...

    That answers that then. I was wondering what it sold for. They used to be somewhere around $20,000. We had quite a bunfight about them here years ago...

    Currently one for sale on oldguns.ca for $60,000 CDN SN# 4444 apparently one of the original NA Arms prototypes which were numbered 1111, 2222, 3333,4444, etc I had a couple of friends that sold theirs about 15 years ago for around 10 g US
