early carbines

Was feeling a bit nostalgic yesterday, so I dug my lee carbines out of the safe for a range session. Accuracy ran the gamut from six inches to "meter-of-angle" at 100 yards! All loads were low-pressure using trailboss. However, accuracy was not the goal as it was simple fun to shoot these old girls. Carbines from top to bottom are a New Zealand pattern carbine, an RIC, an MLE Carbine MkI, and two MLM carbines, one with its D ring still attached. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

Love these old carbines, I have a mk1 metford carbine, it shoots point of aim at 25 yds using 115grn lead bullets over 6.5 grns of Vhit 340. Nice collection.

I know that Englishman has made some in the past (there is a thread). I actually found an RIC with a busted receiver but all the wood in great shape to put on my LEC that I bought sporterized with an MV stock. The guy at the gun shop thought I was crazy for paying $300 for a gun with a busted receiver...
