    Doubly Thankful Villages

Until today I had never even heard of the phase or term "Doubly Thankful Village", that was until I happened to read an article in last month's Navy News where the term was used. The Youtube video explains the term very well but it basically means a village where everyone who enlisted in both world wars returned home safely.

I am sure that there are places in the States and also Commonwealth Countries where all those who joined up, in both world wars, returned home but, like the UKicon, they must be very few. Other countries may well use a different phase to "Doubly Thankful Village" or "Thankful Village" but meaning the same thing.
