    Thanks to Tom Chuck and John for the additional inputs. I love learning about this stuff and have definitely caught the fever. Just acquired a 1903 Springfield that looks pretty original. Even has a 1943 dated leather sling and the old nickel silver Oiler in the buttstock.
    Tied up the next couple weeks but will share some pictures when I get time.
