WWII Era Canadian Army Wireless Remote Control Unit No. 1 - Commando Radio Set

I some how acquired about 100 of these radios and I do not know much about them. What is the best way to check them and what batteries do they use? Some of them do have the original manuals but any help would be appreciated.

Couple points that immediately come to my mind.

    1) these items might still be controlled goods in Canadaicon and might be illegal to possess
    2) usage and broadcasting on those radios without authorization might also be illegal

I am not fully sure myself, but I would carefully look at the laws myself before I started playing around with anything of that nature.

From what I can tell they are ok to sell and are not controlled goods. as for the broadcasting im not sure as they still use morse code so I would have to double check that.
