    M1922 M11 Stock question

Is there a fool proof way to tell if the stock on my M1922 is "original" (military), or somebody's attempt long ago to make it purdy?
    Thanks!

Not sure about foolproof, but post some pics and we can give you an opinion. Original finish vs. a period GI refinish is tough to tell sometimes. Many times a civilian refinish is more obvious.
