Vietnam Bringback Chinese Type 54 with Papers!

    Hello all.

I was visiting some family these weekend and ran across this in one of my old stomping ground shops.

The seller wanted $1,500 for it. From my quick research it seems like that's a "good" deal...but since I collect US stuff and couldn't make money, I passed. I'd be happy to pass on his information though if anyone is interested.

No affiliation, I just asked if he'd be OK with me posting some pics and told him I'd point any interested parties his way in return for sharing. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

I see quite a few WWII papered bringbacks but Vietnam stuff seems pretty uncommon.

    Enjoy!

A very nice pistol, but bit on the high-side. But the good news is it's about 2500 spots lower than mine, so it kind of confirms that I also have a legit "bring-back".

I think it's nostalgic value he's declaring. I doubt anyone will pay that for a $100 pistol...but hard to say.

A $100 pistol??? Uh, for a Tokarev without an added safety you'll probably have to add a "0" to your estimate.

The paperwork is the real deal. Was printed on that flimsy paper like the old copyset carbon forms.

sweet pistol. Back in 1979 I got a type 53 Mosin Nagant Vietnam Bring back from a Seabee buddy who was the one who brought it back. I wasn't a collector and didn't know to ask for the bring back papers. kick myself every day.
