    Sterling Police Carbine

Hi all, brand new here. Having a difficult time finding bits and pieces for my Sterling. Have been looking for a trigger guard and trigger assembly cradle for awhile. Mine are in rough shape. Have sourced everything I can find online such as Marstar. Great bunch of guys by the way. Was hoping to find an old collector that was ready to pass along some of his or her treasures for a nominal fee of course. Glad we could have this little chat and I do appreciate your time .... Robert

Hard to find anything for a Sterling Police carbine at all, let alone in Canadaicon. Importing will be even harder and specially at this exact moment. There are members on this forum that have such though, place a WTB on the correct forum and maybe you'll get the parts...

Matter of fact recently a SMG C1 or Sterling L2A3 or some such sold as a whole on CanadianGunNutz...
    Regards, Jim

Carbine trigger frames were simply converted to single shot fire from the standard trigger frames and parts by the insertion of a through pion that prevented the inner change lever from rotating to the A position. Trigger guard EASILY made. This all in a good little book about the Sterling guns called The Guns of Dagenham

Thanks for the input guys. I’ll be sure to post in the right area in the future. Not sure how many of these are left in Canadaicon. I have two. Just trying to preserve a piece of history.

A decade or so back, when the Ottawa Citizen managed to pice together a good part of the registry through access to information requests, and posted it online, I counted around 50 police carbines registered in Canadaicon. I would imagine that number will not have changed significantly. I have owned 3 over the years. Seems to me there is one on the buy/sell/trade section of this forum.
