    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     Since I've been knowledgeable I noted that there have always been newcomers who are in a hurry to acquire the items they target as being the things to collect. And they overpay for them, sometimes by a lot.

    I started out collecting the cheaper foreign stuff I'd see lingering around. Went through a pretty heavy John Browning phase. Then decided US military stuff is what I really wanted and that it wasn't getting any cheaper.
    My good buddy Visa helped out with that itch

    The last I looked we lived in America and are FREE to spend our money on anything we want as long as it is legal to own. But the snowflakes are upset but they have the most impressive 17% patina M1icon Carbine collection that they are planning a display to teach all of us rookies.
