Since I've been knowledgeable I noted that there have always been newcomers who are in a hurry to acquire the items they target as being the things to collect. And they overpay for them, sometimes by a lot.

    Guilty!
I started out collecting the cheaper foreign stuff I'd see lingering around. Went through a pretty heavy John Browning phase. Then decided US military stuff is what I really wanted and that it wasn't getting any cheaper.
My good buddy Visa helped out with that itch

    M1A1 folder

I have the Inland M1A1iconAttachment 100911Attachment 100912Attachment 100913Attachment 100914Attachment 100915 wood NOS, had it many years, also about the same time I found a complete M1A1 Inland stock. Problem with the complete stock was that someone inletted it
for the M2 parts, very crude work. Also they attached a TSM front grip using glue and screws. The metal folder is in excellent condition. I decided to put the folder together using the new wood and the exc condition metal. Will take some photos of the complete stock. Here are some photos of just the wood taken in 2008

That's right, Paul, emote it all out, little guy. I never got around to thanking you and Glenn for running down that para stock at Huntsville a year and a half ago. You guys beat him up so badly about the trench art that he offered it to me for $600. Dang. That's making a person buy it. That's also the show I was helping Phil out at when he was bailing on Carbines.

btw, I'm a car guy who can't see the purpose in going to car shows.

I once got a free one that looks very similar to the one in the OP. I stared in my rear view mirror all the way home afraid someone was following me to come steal it back later. No kidding.

Hmm, neither helpful or funny. What is the saying about people who live in glass houses?

The last I looked we lived in America and are FREE to spend our money on anything we want as long as it is legal to own. But the snowflakes are upset but they have the most impressive 17% patina M1icon Carbine collection that they are planning a display to teach all of us rookies.
