    Yugoslavian M48 bayonet with scabbard

I bought my daughter a Yugoslavian M48 Mauser (pictures to come) as a gift for her being promoted to Stafff Sergent (E6) next month and have been looking for a bayonet to go along with it. I found one in a gunshop. My have paid too much for it but its a nice one and still loaded with cosmolineicon. Thought I share pictures of it and the kid.

Nope Staff sergeant (SSG) however, she's been selected to become a Drill Sergeant and will more than likely be assigned to Fort Leonard Wood. I think that picture was taken when she was assigned to the Multinational force and observers in Egypt, when all that **** was going down there.

$50 is on the low side of the going rate for these so you did OK.

I really thought I paid too much, I could have sworn I paid less for one in similar condition last year. Thanks

I proud to say that she has done well, the Army has fast-tracked her because she's a go-getter always has been.

Yes and I was paying $20 for them a few years ago. When the surplus drys up, the prices go up pretty fast. I'm not saying you can't get one for less but it's tough doing so. ebay currently has one that's at $40 when you factor in the shipping with about two days left. Serious bidders tend to wait till the item is ready to end before bidding. There are half a dozen or so other listed starting at $79 and up. I think I paid $40 for my last one about two years ago and that was because I was stubborn and waited six months before I found one at the older price.

Occasionally these bayonets turn up without a serial number on the crosspiece but I don't know if that makes them worth anymore.

Good thing I grabbed it, the only reason like I said is that I needed for my kids rifle and it was still in the cosmolineicon. Thanks

I found another one of these Bayonets for $20.00 This one looks well used but still in the cosmolineicon. There is an issue with the tip, at first I thought it was ground down but in looking closer it looks more like delamination -strange-
