I don't see anything wrong with it. Looks good. Just looks like a brand new AK, something we almost never see in the field.

I have a feeling you've seen your share of AK also...and why not shoot the crap out of it? Won't hurt it...

I bought my two Romy WASR AK's 10 years ago. I'm in caliornia so, I figured there was no use in waiting any longer since at worst I'd send them out of state to friends when the laws got worse (until i can get myself out for good, of course). Anyway my first was just a single stack AK (there was a time when this was all Century could sell in Calif as it limited the gun to 10 round mags) for $550 and, two months later after a lot of thought (again the "no time like the present" logic won out) a double stack for $650 from Turners outdoorsman (they're a sporting goods chain here). Typical of Romy AK's the parkerizing looks like an afterthought, and the Romy stock shows typical eastern european ****ery in that it seems to have been made of left over palletwood.

First thing i did was refinish them with flat black Alumahyde II. They came out very well (and 10- years later, even after 1000 rounds each, they still look like new). Then I decided i wanted to replace the trashy furniture with some nice blond wood, looked around til i found a lovely set from somebody one line for only about $100 for all 4 pieces. Got one set and finally wound up getting another set for the single stack AK, too.

One of these days I mean to grind out the mag well on the single stack WASR and to grind it out right, so once I hit the bricks for a Free State I can fill it fulla 30 round mags for plinking fun, but never found the time so far...

Nice Rommy! If it is a single stack, it is not that hard to open it up for standard AK mags. I imagine it is tough to find those single stack mags anymore.
