    No4 Mk2

    Hello all.
I am looking to buy a No 4 and have come across this one. It seems in very good condition and has the Parker Hale dioptre sight attachment (have which many of the rifles I have looked at have over here in Europe). The serial number follows the new numbering scheme I assume as most of these late No4s have numbers in the PF range. Am I right in this? It is not cheap at 900 EUR and there are others cheaper, not in such good condition but still quite tidy.

The PH 8/53 sight (the additional part that fits onto the standard Mk1 sight) will sell on Ebay for up to Euro 200

    Very collectible.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

If it's very good condition; regarding the barrel and has matching numbers etc. It's probably worth the 900 with that rear sight fitted.
If you want to shoot "Tir Arme Reglementaire" (service Rifle) you will be in the modified class (812) with that sight instead of standard rifle (810). No problem.
