    Bolt Stamp T E

Have just bought a new, unissued 1917 bolt on ebay still in arsenal wrap. After cleaning it up I can make out two small letters, T and E. Wondering if this an Eddystone bolt of WW I manufacture, or WW II manufacture by one of numerous suppliers.

Looks like an X E to me. The upper left leg of the X seems lightly struck but is better visible in a picture than in person.
    A possible Eddystone reject?

The top side of the bolt handle bears the ordnance flaming bomb acceptance mark.
